Studio policies

General Policies




New to our studio?

Please ensure that you have read and accepted our liability waiver and cancellation policies before your first class.  Notify your instructor of any medical considerations including past and present injuries, pregnancy or medication that might require exercise modifications before the start of class.

Please bring a water bottle and a towel if you need one.


Payment Method

We require a credit/debit card to set up all accounts. We accept cash, Mastercard and Visa credit cards or local personal checks for any purchase.  We charge $25 for bounced or returned checks.


Proper Dress

Pilates is a full body exercise methodology that incorporates stretching and periods of intense exertion. Please dress comfortably and in layers with clothing that you can easily move and stretch in.



Grip socks or bare feet are recommended for Pilates.  You may purchase socks at our studio if needed.


Personal Hygiene and Health

Please come to class fragrance free.  Refrain from wearing scented lotions, perfume and essential oils in the studio. Please stay home if you are ill.


Cell Phones and other mobile devices

Please turn your ringer/notifications off before entering the studio.  We understand the occasional need for emergency communications.  Please let your instructor, know if you need to have your mobile device on vibrate during class.


Schedule and Instructor Changes:

Classes and Instructors are subject to change.  Any changes will be announced via email as soon as the change is known.  Face + Body Studio is under no obligation to give clients prior notice of any schedule or instructor changes.


Minimum participant requirements

We require 2 participants minimum per class and will cancel any class that has less than 2 reservations 12 hour before the class start time.


Automatic reminder emails

These are sent out 24 hours before your appointment or class. It is the client’s responsibility to check spam/junk mail boxes for any incoming mail. Face + Body Studio is not responsible for any bounced or failed email communications.


Return/Refund Policy

All sales are final and we do not offer refunds on purchased or unused membership/contracts and packages.



All merchandise including but not limited to cosmetics, jewelry, and/or clothing can be returned within 30 days, as long as the item is new, unused and has original packaging. All return/refunds must be accompanied by the sales receipt.



There are no refunds on services performed by Face + Body Studio, unless otherwise determined by management. There are no cash/credit back refunds. If management determines that compensation is appropriate, the client will receive an in house gift card for an estimated dollar amount.

Service providers are not permitted to grant refunds at any time.


Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy informs you about how we use personal information collected on our site. By using the Face + Body Studio website, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing a safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Face + Body Studio website and governs data collection and usage.  By using the Face + Body Studio website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of Information

We collect personally identifiable information, like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by our visitors. The information you provide is only used to fulfill your specific request, unless you give us permission to use it in another manner, for example to add you to one of our mailing lists. Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from this site allow you to opt out of further mailings.

Face + Body Studio reserves the right to make changes to this policy. Any changes to this policy will be posted.

Distribution of Information

We will only share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when:

1. permitted or required by law; or,

2. trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or,

3. investigating fraud, which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.


Terms and Conditions


In addition to our general studio policies you agree to the following regarding monthly auto pay memberships/contracts:


We require a credit/debit card for all accounts. Your credit/debit card will be auto debited each month for the duration of your commitment period.  Your credit/debit card will be charged for incidentals, included but not limited to: late cancellation fees, no show fees and appointment cancellation and or no show fees.  Please take the time to read and review our cancellation policies.


Auto-pay commitment memberships/contracts will automatically renew at the end of the commitment period, unless the client changes their membership status or terminates their membership/contract.   The commitment period is the equivalent of the contract and/or membership that you purchase.


All classes must be used within 30 days. Unused classes will be forfeited.  If you choose to attend more classes exceeding your monthly limit, you can choose from one of our package options to meet your needs.


All monthly auto-pay commitment members may suspend their accounts as follows:

• We request that all clients inform us of their reason for requesting a suspension

• Management reserves the right to deny any account suspension requests.

• Management reserves the right to modify, extend, cancel, amend and/or negotiate any and all membership/contract disputes on a case by case basis.


Termination Clause: If a membership/contract is canceled before the commitment period ends, you will be required to pay the remainder of your membership/contract in full at the contracted monthly rate.if you fail to pay any fees or charges when due, services or privileges may be suspended or terminated. You may be responsible and liable for any fees, including attorneys' fees and collection costs, that Face + Body Studio may incur in its efforts to collect any unpaid balances from you.



A 12-hour cancellation notice* is required and must be done through the on-line system to avoid any and all late charges. There are two types of cancellation charges, "Late Cancel" and "No Show."


- A Late Cancel charge will occur if you cancel less than 12 hours from the scheduled class time, this charge is $12.

- A No Show charge will occur when you are signed up for a class and do not Show Up OR cancel, this charge is $15.

Running Late: We ask that you contact the studio via text message and/or email to let us know you are on the way. Your reservation will be held for up to 15 minutes after class begins. Those who are more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted. If you are late to a class, you will be charged a late cancellation fee of $12

*Extenuating circumstances will be considered.





We require 24 hour cancellation notification for all appointments.


A No Show charge occurs when you are booked for an appointment and do not show up OR cancel outside of the 24 hour window, this charge is the full amount of the scheduled service.

What is Pilates?

“Pilates is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play, and in the way you work.”

The Pilates Method is an approach in mind & body integration that was created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s. The fundamental principles focus on balance, concentration, control, centered awareness, fluid movements, and breathe. Pilates enhances core strength, increases flexibility, coordination, balance and special awareness. Pilates engages the whole person, not just the muscles. For everybody from an athlete to mother, Pilates will develop and enhance stamina, posture, alignment & core strength for all.


What’s the difference between Pilates and Yoga?

Pilates mainly concentrates on developing core strength and lengthening throughout the whole body. Also, Pilates is a valuable tool for increasing strength, definition and proper posture. Yoga aims to work the body equally and unite the body with mind and spirit. We like to think that Pilates begins in the core and works it way out to the limbs, yoga starts from the limbs and works it way in to the core of the body.


How often should I do Pilates each week?

The ideal practice of Pilates is 3 times per week. However, you need to take into consideration – time, finances, stress level and burn out. We suggest starting with one session and adding more sessions when you can. You will see results quickly if you do more sessions each week.


What type/style/etc. of Pilates do your instructors teach?

Our approach to Pilates and our specialized methodology is progressive and fitness based.  Al classes use the Pilates Reformer.   All of our teachers come from a variety of Teacher Training Programs and many have training in other fitness based modalities, including personal training, massage therapy, functional and rehabilitative training. Most teachers teach a progressive/fitness based reformer classes that incorporates neutral spine. We do have a few teachers who know the classical repertoire.


I’m pregnant, can I take group classes? Which ones are safe for me to take?

Absolutely!  We recommend you take group classes until you start to feel the limitations in your body.  Your body is going through so many changes and many adjustments will have to be made.  You can speak with one of our instructors to determine what and how you should continue your practice throughout your pregnancy.  If you are a current client you can continue with your current Pilates practice through the 1st trimester (3-4 months). After that, you may need to enroll in one of our pregnancy classes or seek private sessions.


What if I have an injury?

The beauty of Pilates is in its ability to encourage rehabilitation and healing. If you’re injured or have physical restrictions, let your instructor know. She’ll show you modifications for movements that are uncomfortable or beyond your ability. If you’re currently under a doctor’s care, let us know. We’ll make sure that your instructor is aware so that she can modify for you.

Why do I need facials?

Why do I need a professional skin therapist?

For the same reason doctor and dentist check-ups are necessary: for better health! Skin is a living part of your body (your largest organ, in fact), that defends against environmental assaults and extreme temperatures. It helps eliminate toxins from the body, and it is continually renewing and protecting.


Is microcurrent technology safe?

What should I expect from a Facial Sculpting Treatment?

Are there any ‘after treatment’ recommendations?

Yes. Advise your clients to be sure to drink at least 8 ounces of water (preferably filtered) immediately after the treatment. This will help ‘flush’ the toxins and impurities from the skin and body that have been stimulated from the treatment. Because the support cream now also has an electrical current, recommend that they do not wash their face for at least 2 – 6 hours after the treatment because the support cream is still working to stimulate their skin a bit. Ask them to drink 8 – 16 ounces of water starting a couple hours before their next appointment to help hydrate the skin. This can provide a better result since water is a conductor. It is best to tell the client not to use any type of ‘oily’ cream as that causes a barrier and less conductivity.


Are there any harmful side effects or pain during or after the treatments?

None. Not only is our treatment painless, but clients look forward to the relaxing experience. Our waveforms are very inducing, and many fall asleep during the session. Afterwards clients feel euphoric as though the just experienced the most fantastic hour-long massage; however, 15-20 minutes later, they describe themselves as feeling invigorated and alert. Beautiful Image Facial Sculpting does not rely upon a thermal energy source like a laser.  There is no inflammation or redness, no need to heal before seeing results, and absolutely no downtime. Just reapply makeup and go on with your day.


Many procedures using lasers advertise themselves as “lunchtime facelifts” requiring no downtime, but who wants to resume their day with a red swollen face?
